This case is very durable and handy. This is the second one I’ve owned. I really did some wear and tear on my first one. This case is amazing. I’ve had it for two years and was satisfied until today. It fell out of my son’s pocket on a rollercoaster going at least 40mph 60 feet in the air onto asphalt and the phone was completely untouched. The case was scratched up but I’m still using it. I GIVE THIS MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.I bought this for an iPhone 12. The construction is very nice.It has a mixture of flat and gloss plastic. The gloss part showcasesevery fingerprint you can imagine. Access to your cards is assisted bya nice cutout notch that allows you to slide the door which has a firmlocking mechanism. You can fit about 3 cards in it. I haven't had it long enoughto discuss durability but it seems like it should last and should offer some protectionwhen dropped. Hopefully won't be testing that. The door is very flimsy, otherwise a decent caseI’ve used this case since I upgraded around November of last year, and have used the same cases for the last few models I’ve owned. I have zero complaints! It’s not too difficult to get on and off for cleaning your phone, all three buttons work fine, it doesn’t distort or muffle sound on either end, and the raised edge around the front screen and cameras are great.I’m not sure where the loose or wobbly sliding door reviews are coming in from. If memory is correct, I do know there is normally a sticker on the underside of the sliding door that is a bit difficult to get off but can help keep the door more in place, as without that sticker it takes a bit more force to slide the door open and closed and will therefore keep it more secure. It holds up to three cards and being that the door only opens about halfway, it keeps them pretty snug inside the compartment, though of course you should only be opening it when necessary.I genuinely love these cases because I very rarely use cash and don’t like loading my pockets with a bunch of stuff. It can make things more challenging if your phone is lost or stolen, but we all take risks every time we go outside regardless. If you’re looking for an easier solution to carrying a wallet and a case that’s pretty durable, this will do great’Updated 1-star Review (11/23/20):After receiving my new iPhone 12 Pro Max and trying this case out, I can tell you with certainty that the magnets built into the phone (MagSafe) DOES AFFECT the card compartment. If you have any extra magnetic mounting plates around (the ones there you apply to the back of your phones to use on magnetic mounts), you can insert this plate into the card component and test this yourself. Once you put the metal side plate into the card component (without the plastic shield that slides to keep the cards in) and invert your phone, you will notice that the metal plate DOES NOT fall off and remains attached. As a result of the new MagSafe system, the magnetic field easily passes through the rubber case. Normally, the magnetic field for iPhones has never affected my credit cards with Spigen wallet cases, but the substantial magnetic field present, with the cards being in the compartment 24/7 in an UNSHIELDED case, will result in your credit cards being erased over time. There is a reason why Apple's wallet pouch for MagSafe is shielded, but that wallet itself has its own problems. As much as I would have loved to demonstrate this myself, I wanted to make sure I met the return window for my order before wasting $37 since I bought two of these cases for two 12 Pro Max phones. However, prior to my return, I had actually contacted Spigen because I have always believed in their products and customer service only for them to tell me to remove the credit cards before charging the phone wirelessly and has not planned to implement some kind of shield with this case... I was shocked and disappointed with Spigen's response. Never once did I say in my email that I was concerned with wireless charging. My main concern from the beginning was the magnets in the phone that makes the new MagSafe system.I cannot recommend this case at this time unless you are willing to take out the credit cards every night (NOT TO USE THE WIRELESS CHARGING FEATURE), but giving your cards time away from a continuous magnetized environment. Should Spigen redesign their case to address this issue or provide some type of shielding, wallet cases have been effectively killed off by Apple's new MagSafe system.Original 4-star Review (10/26/20):I have used this line of Spigen Cases since the iPhone X was introduced. I love the ease, reliability, and protection this case offers. The quality of this case for the new iPhone 12 Pro Max is the same when compared to older cases. I am certain that this case will continue to protect my phone while simplifying my life when I finally receive my iPhone Pro 12 Max.However, there is one big Caveat that I must note and deduct a star for because Spigen has not stated if this case would protect the credit cards in the back from being demagnetized. There is nothing in the description that suggests this case is shielded nor does the material appear to be different to previous cases where shielding was never an issue. Until Spigen address this issue or provide a simply shielding tape for the card slot or provide shielding into a revision of this case, I cannot return the star. However, I will be conducting a series of tests with soon to expire credit cards and determine if this case protects the cards from the MagSafe feature new to the iPhone line. If my tests show no erasing my of credit cards, then this is certainly a 5 star case. However, if cards to get erased and Spigen does not have a way to address this issue, then without a doubt, this review will fall down to 1 star because it is incompatible with MagSafe.Fortunately, Spigen has always done right by me so I know they back their product 100%. I am looking forward to this review becoming 5 stars before the end of November.Ever since I found this case 7 years ago, it is now the only case I will use! Cards stay put. I have dropped my phone multiple times on concrete and have never had an issue. Only time I order a new case is after a few years they start looking worn (after a few YEARS...) My husband and friends have all switched to this case and absolutely love it!Love the convenience. The 1st one I had for my iPhone 8 was super durable and lasted years. The case for the iPhone 12 not so much. Replaced it already. Ugh.I won’t use any other case for my iPhonesDropped loads of times never scratched even cases remain perfect. One slight complaint is the sliding part/ door quite thin should be more sturdy otherwise perfect for 2 cards don’t try any more than 2 or it bulges and won’t closeDoes not feel sturdy. Slips easily from hand. The card cover does not feel very secure. I have had spigen products for the last 5 years. I would not have thought this would be one do theirs had it not been for the name on the packaging.Spigen iPhone card cases have been my choice for every iPhone I’ve had since iPhone 6.Clever design that keeps my cards safe and protects my phone from drops and knocksOnly lost the stars because I couldn't fit more than one card init and Eventually the cap for the cardholder brokeExcellent case. Well built, with added protection. I had this case for the iPhone X and when I upgraded to the pro max this was a must.
