this is absolutely the best running shoe ever. if you have a runners foot and a runners stride and can handle the bit higher of weight compared to the pegasus or brooks et al, this shoe cushions better and fits better than anything i have worn. if i were religious, i would pray that nike continues to sell these because simply they are so good it is unbearable and i must have more. the key is the offset of the heal cushioning. it is vacant right where your heal strikes making heal bruises and heal damage or even hard heal strikes non-existent. it also helps roll your foot forward without assisting your foot forward encouraging you to run more. the higher weight than the pegasus is so worth it when compared to how well it cushions your foot...nothing fits my foot and stride better than the tailwind. BEST RUNNING SHOE EVER!
