Great mouse but just under a year and my mouse wheel doesn't scroll as it should with down scrolling leading to none to some up scrolls. Any game that now requires the use of a mouse scroll wheel is clunky now as I cannot trust the scrolling to work properly. Purchase Jan 28 2021 and found the issue start of December 2021.Le he dado duro a ese mouse ya llevo 1 año. Muy bueno para mmorpg, call of duty. Es cierto que no he usado sus macros en winfows por flojera. Es muy muy estético. Mejor que otras marca muy careras.Could have been a great mouse... I have huge hands and loved the idea of the movable thumb button panel. Unfortunately I have now had 2 of these that came with a non-functional sticky button out of the box (both times it was the 4 button). Not sure what is going on with quality control on these but I've had friends saying the same thing...As described. Works like a charm. For all your macro needsI have had this mouse for around 2 years now and it has held up great. No paint or plastic is coming off, the glossy plastic is still glossy and nice, all the buttons are clicky, and the sensor is still great. No complaints.Let me start out by saying before this mouse I had a Razer Naga. I'm very careful with my peripherals and take very good care of them. I have the same Razer keyboard I've had for over 5 years and I had my Naga for quite a while before buying the Scimitar. The only reason I bought the Scimitar was because I liked that I was able to adjust the keypad since I have smaller hands.I absolutely loved the Scimitar until I didn't lol. I had it a little over a year until it started giving me issues. I started noticing that when I'd right click it would like release so if I needed to turn my camera in a game I would get these micro stops unless I held down the left click at the same time. It progressively got worse and I learned that they use a cheap plastic that tends to bend after a lot of use and can affect how the mouse clicks. So I swapped it out with a backup. I used the backup for about 2-3 months until the scroll wheel gave out randomly. I was checking my email and the tension in the scroll just gave out and I could "spin it." I can still click with it but I can no longer scroll. Again did some research and found out they use cheap parts for the wheel as well that have a tendency to just fail. While the mouse itself feels nice and much better quality than my Naga it sadly did not last nearly as long. If I didn't have failures within such a short time frame I'd be fine but idk if I can recommend this mouse anymore, especially for the cost.Left click stopped completely after 1 yearWhat a POS mouse. I'll go back to Razer, at least I've never had a mouse last less than 3 years from them nor has it been the LEFT CLICK that breaks, usually just a sticking middle click. So now I sit here with a bricked mouse unable to get any work done until a store opens.Garbage build quality. This is just the European version. The American version looks the same and is only $50:https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Scimitar-CH-9304011-NA-Gaming-Yellow/dp/B01MU3DZ2V/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1513524289&sr=8-3&keywords=mmo+mouse+scimitarSo I decided to upgrade my ageing Razer Naga 2014 mouse to the Corsair Scimitar. Both have the same button layout (L/R/Middle click, 12 thumb buttons and a browser forward/backward button). I thought this would be a nice thing to accompany my K65 Lux keyboard and H80iGT AIO cooler. Unfortunately, Corsair have decided to force you to use their awful CUE software to manage this mouse. Cut a long story short, you have to keep this software running in the background AT ALL TIMES in order to override the keybinds, some of which cannot be overridden (such as the browser forward/back buttons being locked to switch profile/DPI settings). Closing the software will make all your connected Corsair devices to revert back to their default profiles. This is incredibly frustrating and the Corsair forums are filled with posts by people experiencing the same issues.Instead of buying this, check out the Titanwolf MMO mouse. It costs considerably less with far less hassle.EDIT - FIXED IT! I now have browse forward/backward bound to the correct keys without CUE/iCUE running. My keyboard lights stay on and CUE doesn't screw with my H80iGT fan profiles and I can go back to using Link for that.Basically I uninstalled iCUE, then installed an older version of CUE (2.24.50 | 04/13/2018) which still has editable .xml config files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Corsair\Corsair Utility Engine\devices. Opened the profile_scimitar_pro_rgb.xml, and edited the line below to . Then when I ran CUE it let me rebind the profile switch button (aka the browse forward button to anyone who has used a mouse in the last 20 years) to browse forward. Did the same to the DPI switch button MouseDpiLed for browse backwards. Saved this configuration to the Scimitar so that it's saved on the mouse itself, instead of needing some software running constantly. Now I've set a rule in my firewall to block all CUE traffic so CUE will never update (or else it will replace it with iCUE and undo my fix). My Scimitar is now fully customisable (as it should be without needing background software), my keyboard keeps its RGB profile again without CUE running, and I can manage my cooler's fan profile and RGB in Corsair Link without CUE/iCUE messing with it and trying to store all 3 device configurations on a single profile.Still quite annoyed with Corsair that I've had to spend this amount of time fixing it, I've just gotta remember to never open CUE or iCUE again. To avoid all of these problems yourself just get a different mouse. The Scimitar is great now that it functions as intended but the inconvenience caused by the steps I had to go through to make it this way outweigh the benefits. Wasn't sure if I was going to like this coming from a Logitech G600 that finally died after years of use but I love this! Despite people saying the software is rubbish and over-complicated I had no issues with it, was able to create RGB profiles easily and reassign the keys to my liking with no issue! I love the customisation of the side keys, able to put them where I prefer them to be and the clicking of both mouse buttons and side keys are very responsive and satisfying. The colours are bright and the mouse feels great and fits my hand perfectly. I'm hoping this will last me as long as my G600. So far I'm in love with this mouse, and recommend it to all!I used to have the M65 corsair mouse for 3 years which was showing signs of wear, so I decided to get a little upgrade...This mouse is top notch in terms of build quality. iCUE's customzation software is pretty great, too. The buttons are easy to reach and after a month I have already got into the habbit.NOTE: If you do happen to buy this product, don't delete the default profile (the one with the SD card icon)I bought a second one of these for my setup at my workplace.iCUE software is great now, I use it to control my RGB RAM and RGB keyboard.I spent around two weeks researching what I thought to be the best mouse on the market and as I had also decided to buy a Corsair K95 keyboard, I figured I'd be best with mouse and keyboard being the same brand, same software etc.Anyway, I got this to replace my Logitech M518 (original model) and have to say I am VERY disappointed. I use a Mac and find the iCUE software to be nothing but problems, so I reverted to setting up the profiles in the mouse and running with the iCUE software disabled (mouse can store settings in hardware profiles) but it is just to comfortable to use. You might think the 12 side buttons are a good idea, but you only think that, they are not. I use this mostly for World Of Warcraft and it's just not fast enough, you end up pressing the wrong buttons by accident and blowing cool downs etc.One other thing, I am finding that one of the side buttons is coming loose and this is only after a single day of use so I'm seriously contemplating returning for a refund. This mouse really looks good, while it is sitting there doing it's light thing and it even feels pretty good (apart from the loose button), but that is as far as it goes, its not for me...
